I'm not religious but I think place is a must see while visiting Palermo. There are even buses going there, place is free and open until late (been there at almost 8pm). Beautiful views on the way there
Historic shrine built into the side of Mount Pellegrino (Pilgrim Mountain). Came by car but there were buses here with tourists in January. Busy place. The saint is the patron saint of Palermo. Drive down over the other side to lovely resort town of Mondello.
