One of the most famous paintings in the world, Leonardo da Vinci's Il Cenacolo is a 15th-century mural in the World Heritage-listed convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie. This painting is one of the most studied, scrutinized, and satirized works of art ever. It was created for the artist's patron, Ludovico Sforza, and represents the scene of the last supper attended by Jesus and all of his disciples, as told by the Gospel of John. The painting measures 460 cm by 880 cm (180 in by 350 in) and covers an end wall of the convent's dining hall. Though little of the original painting remains today, repeated restoration efforts have prevented the image from completely deteriorating. To see this masterpiece, you must book tickets ahead of time, often months in advance. Go online to explore guided tour options and see available time slots. Amazing experience and well worth the hassle of booking in advance. Viewing is strictly timed to fifteen minutes. more »

Currently the museum limits the number of visitors to 15-20 persons per group. That improves my visit very much. It was quiet and I did enjoy the painting. Every group has 15 min. in the hall. The museum actually consists only 1 hall and it costs 15 € to see this particular hall. I think it's quite expensive. One more thing visitors can use a toilet only after visiting. Imagine standing in front of this remarkable painting but have to hold your p--.

Not cheap at all. Only two paintings (of course the marvelous and infamous last supper of Davinci!) 15€ seems excessively high considering other glbig museum prices of entry.. but stunning painting of LDV!!!
