Historic Site · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Get a breath of fresh air at Jerpoint Park, a historical spot filled with wildlife and impressive old trees. Walk among the oaks, chestnuts, limes, and beeches, and keep an eye out for birds. If you are feeling adventurous, take advantage of the park's "tracker packs," which include binoculars, a compass, and a magnifying glass. Watch a sheepdog demonstration and observe how the dog and its owner communicate and work together to herd sheep. This site also makes a perfect fishing spot--ask about the wild salmon and brown trout fishing. Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Kilkenny trip simple and quick.

  • This was the best tour we attended in Ireland! It is a working sheep farm with Historic significance and was very interesting! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the Historic significance of the farm. St. Nicholas is buried in the old church yard on the property. It was a great tour! Don't miss it if you are near Kilkenny!
  • My daughter brought me and my husband to Jerpoint Park yesterday because my husband had been researching it and really wanted to go and see St Nicholas Tomb. His mobility is pretty bad so we weren't sure if he could walk the distance. We didn't know how far it would be from car park. Anyway as it turned out he wouldn't have been able. But the owner Joe went out of his way and drove us up and back in his jeep. And explained all about the site. It was absolutely brilliant. Such a kind man. He told us someone had said the place is "The gem that fell from the sky". I think he is the gem that fell from the sky. I would highly recommend the tour.
