  We went for the live music and it was plainly fantastic. As tourists we were a bit unsure at first but we felt welcome enough and had a great evening. It's a real people's pub for all ages, we saw ladies in dresses as well as men in their working clothes stopping by for a pint. Very nice and relaxed atmosphere and wide variety of beer from the tab.

  Visited Skibereen, I wanted to watch footy. Went to a bar in the vicinity of Cahalanes. Bar man was unapproachable n unfriendly. Thank goodness I found Cahalanes!!. Met some lovely people, friendly helpful girl inside the bar. Nice surroundings, with a wonderful homely atmosphere. Will definitely go back. Thank you Cahalanes for a great experience!!
