  Such an amazing beach. My favourite in Mayo.....it is totally unspoiled and being there feels like you are stepping back 100's of years to old Ireland. Not many people there at all...........it is in....  more »

  You would have to see this beach to believe it Golden rather than Silver would be a better name. You can see this long sandy beach in the distance before you get there. But it looks unreal from a distance. Also contains monument to famine victim graves found there. No shops or bars anywhere near it. One road in and out. But miles of georgous sandy beaches. Unspoint.

  Beautiful beach, really nice. If going, bring some patience for the road, its very narrow (one car width at parts) and may involve some reversing/creative driving. Worth the trip.
