Powerscourt Waterfall, Ireland's tallest waterfall, has attracted visitors to the bottom of the Wicklow Mountains for more than 200 years. See the stunning waters, which fall 121 m (398 ft). Explore the park's pathways, or enjoy a picnic and the nearby playground. Admire the beech, oak, larch, pine, and giant redwood trees, which were introduced to the region in the 18th century. Watch for wildlife, including native birds and the Sika Deer. The Powersourt Estate, a 13th-century home located 5 km (3 mi) from the site, owns the waterfall and its valley.     Great landmark and lots of space for picnics etc, nice walk around the waterfall too. Lovely place with a little shop and playground for the kids.  more »

    The waterfalls are indeed spectacular and worth a visit. The walk from the car park to the falls is very short however a bridge allows you to cross the river and walk up to the falls on either side...  more »

    Nature is always worthy of a visit. Pretty area, plenty of green and walk paths to explore the surroundings. The waterfall is amazing, be careful on the rocks as really slippery (I fell myself). A negative point is people, I couldn't enjoy properly the waterfall and surrounding areas as many people doing BBQ etc, not all were polite and respectful. I will probably go back during weekdays as less people around.

    While the entry price (6 Euros per person I believe) is pretty steep to go see a waterfall, it is a very beautiful natural landmark. The waterfall is quite tall and the surroundings all around it are very beautiful. I really enjoyed just sitting down near the river and enjoying the sound of the waterfall and the beauty of the nature around us. It was also very interesting as this was our first encounter with the brown water that runs in many of Ireland's rivers that make them quite unique. I think the waterfall is probably worth a visit but it would be nice if it was free to see or maybe if they just charged a few Euros per car to park.
