Kilcullen's Seaweed Baths, Enniscrone

Located along the seashore, this quaint family business, is open for action. The unique opportunity offered, allows the adventurous, to step back in time and experience an old fashioned sea weed bath. Sea weed is harvested from the seashore directly across the road, outside the bath house. Copious amounts of silky luscious seaweed is piled into the bath along with oceans of hot water, which takes on a sea like beauty, to provide the bather a chance to immerse in this healthy healing concoction, called the seaweed bath. Not to be undertaken lightly, as some acknowledge feeling overwhelmed by the sense of nature within the tub. Admittedly it is not for everyone, but certainly something everyone should try once. Personally, I enjoyed the boiling hot water, giving my bones the deepest healing heat. An experience that gives the body a relaxing, break from the norm. It's like a hot dip in the ocean, in the indoors, without the cold winds of the West.

Unreal experience. Come out of there feeling really refreshed. Would recommend getting a massage followed by the seaweed bath. Both cost €50 altogether which is unreal value. Will be back 😊
