  • They have a great day trip that covers a trip out to Inis Oirr and on the way back you can see the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Great way to appreciate the Cliffs from sea level plus there are no crow...  more »
  • We travelled to Inisoirr yesterday from Doolin. My big gripe is the toilets or lack of. There were lots of tourists all waiting for boats. The only toilets available are dirty & shabby, I wont even me...  more »
  • We took the ferry to visit Inisheer (€20/r as head) trip takes about 30 minutes, and it was alright. The island is beautiful seems to be out of time, well worth a visit, would recommend renting bikes (about €10). Upon return to the sea was very choppy, and the ferry also did the tour of the Cliffs before returning in Doolin. Unfortunately because of the sea we couldn't enjoy ourselves, impressive waves and people who felt bad all the time. Note however the staff on board, although I would recommend not to move from the Cliffs in case of sea very choppy, not pleasant. So always pay attention to the sea, but the island tour worth it!

  • The 1 hour tour to the cliffs was pretty disappointing. There were way to many people on a boat that simply was not suited to have a good view at the cliffs. The cruise was basically half an hour ride to the cliffs, a turn accompanied by a few facts and half an hour ride back. Not worth the 15€ per person.
  • NEVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. This company is an absolute disgrace. Never use them. We booked our tickets at least a month before travelling. When we arrived at Doolin to catch the ferry to Inisheer, we were picked up in an old delapadated 'ferry' which looked more like and old unused fishing trauler. The 'ferry' itself is not suitable for safe travel, it is rusting and if one is feeling seasick there is no safe place on the deck to get some fresh air. When it came time to catch the 'ferry' back to Doolin we phoned to confirm that we were waiting for the 12:15 'ferry' and were informed that it was on its way. When it did finally approach Inisheer, whilst still a good few hundred metres away, it swiftly made a U-turn and left again, we were seated exactly where we were dropped off the day before, we had luggage with us and we're the only people on the pier. Thus we were very clear to see. This company is unreliable, unprofessional and have ruined what was a lovely break on the Island. Definately do not use Doolin2Aran ferries if you are thinking of visiting the Aran islands , there are many other more professional and reliable companies to book with. They have ruined our plans for the day. NEVER BOOK WITH THEM!
  • Good service...takes at least 1.5 hrs to all the islands. Staff friendly and helpful.
  • This company is incredible. Not only was my trip to Doolin affordable, but their costumer service is above and beyond. I had accidentally got off the wrong island, and Chris and Joe made sure a ferry went out of their way to come get me. They kept me on the line to make sure I knew where to go and that I was on. After this, they even gave me a ride to their hostel! It is clear that these employees care about people and go the extra mile to create a great experience. 5 stars all the way around - thank you Chris and Joe!
  • The ferry was a great way to see the cliffs. However, we felt some information on the cliffs itself might have been better. A leaflet or perhaps some information given on the boat during the tour would have been great.

Where to stay in Doolin

Get the chance to see all that County Clare has to offer by staying in the charming town of Doolin. The village is so small, in fact, that the location of your accommodations hardly matters--everything is close. Some of the town's bed and breakfast locations are luxurious and overlook the rustic coast, while others feature mid-range prices. For travelers on a serious budget, seek out one of the few hostels. This small town can serve as a good base for exploring the nearby Cliffs of Moher and other significant sites.
