Minard Castle is a 19th-century castellated mansion on the north-western shore of Loch Fyne, Scotland.
The current structure is the enlargement of an older house carried out around 1848 by the architect John Thomas Rochead.

  • Fairly easy to find right off the main road. There is parking along the road and there is rarely anyone else there. We did run into a German film crew who didn't want us there one time, but we...  more »
  • These castle ruiins are worth a quick visit, yest another casualty of Cromwell, but be careful the rocks are slippery.  more »
  • Very narrow roads either way you come in, but this is truly a hidden gem. Parking lot for about 12 cars at the beach below the castle. Huge smooth rounded rocks at beach. The castle itself is not accessible as it's on private property, but makes for great pictures if on a day like today.
  • Beautiful setting, right on the water and near a quaint little stream, flowing into the ocean. Peaceful and quiet when we went. No trespassing on Castle grounds, only able to view from afar.
