Traversing meadows and cliffs, Ballycotton Cliff Walk represents one of the area's most scenic hiking routes. The 8 km (5 mi) path stretches from Ballycotton village to Ballyandreen beach, providing walkers with plenty of opportunity to spot wildlife and snap photos of the southern Irish coastline. Take time to read the notice board located in the parking lot to learn about some of the 300 species of birds that can be sighted along the way. The path is not suitable for bikes or strollers due to the many stiles positioned on the route. The cliff walk is currently closed. Cork County Council closed it because it is not possible to maintain social distancing. Didn't see any signs in the village telling people that the walk is closed..... more »

Would definitely suggest for anyone visiting Ireland!Beautiful walk with an amazing view, I’d suggest shoes with a good grip as the path can get a bit slippery on wetter days. Half way through the walk you’re able to climb down to the bottom of the cliff and dip your feet in the water or even lay back in the grass and enjoy the sun and the ocean wind! There’s practically nothing on the end of the walk unless you do wind surfing as you’ll find surfers out there on the windy days enjoying the weather.

Just beyond beautiful. We went here the day before we went to the Cliffs of Moher and much preferred this experience as it was much more private and intimate. The path is relatively well maintained and the views are just spectacular.
