  • This defensive fort is thought to have been built for a local lord or king around 300 or 400AD. It is impressive to see the stones, without the benefit of mortar, still in place in the overall...  more »
  • Definitely beautiful views from the fort (but beauty is so readily available in Ireland). It's not a must-see on my list only because the windy road takes you far off the Ring of Kerry and you can use that time seeing other unique/more impressive marvels of the Irish landscape. Make sure you bring a couple of euro to pay the fee to be on the land.
  • Just a big stone fort in the middle of nowhere. Circular wall made of stones - I'd recommend to those who have a lots of time in their hands. There are public toilets there, which is a plus.
