Mount Usher Gardens
Walk through 5,000 species of plants along the River Vartry at Mount Usher Gardens. Regarded as one of Ireland's most beautiful gardens and spanning 9 hectares (22.2 acres), these gardens have many walking trails that are popular among tourists and locals. Admire the exotic plants and flowers, such as magnolias and azaleas, all of which are organically grown. Be on the lookout for wildlife such as herons and other birds. Finish off with a stop at one of the benches that provide scenic views or enjoy a light lunch at the garden cafe. Check in advance about the farmers' market, which is set up periodically. Put Mount Usher Gardens and other Wicklow attractions into our Wicklow trip planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

Just spent a lovely afternoon in Mount Usher Gardens. I thought the entrance was poorly signposted, we overshot, but otherwise absolutely no complaints. Lovely lunch in the restaurant with great staff. Nice browse in the courtyard shops. Then to the garden, it is exquisite! So many beautiful trees and the Hydrangea bushes were fantastic. Not exactly rollator friendly but that was flagged in the literature and he still enjoyed the place. Well worth a visit.

Stopped for a late lunch on the way back from Brittas Bay. One of those warm afternoons with a cooling breeze. This was a repeat visit - waitress service this time and food was great- typical Avoca fare. We sat outside and enjoyed the good weather. Inside would have been great on a wet or cool day. Staff were all friendly and cheerful - excellent service. Great location and venue. Highly recommended .
