  • Just spent a lovely afternoon in Mount Usher Gardens. I thought the entrance was poorly signposted, we overshot, but otherwise absolutely no complaints. Lovely lunch in the restaurant with great staff. Nice browse in the courtyard shops. Then to the garden, it is exquisite! So many beautiful trees and the Hydrangea bushes were fantastic. Not exactly rollator friendly but that was flagged in the literature and he still enjoyed the place. Well worth a visit.
  • Stopped for a late lunch on the way back from Brittas Bay. One of those warm afternoons with a cooling breeze. This was a repeat visit - waitress service this time and food was great- typical Avoca fare. We sat outside and enjoyed the good weather. Inside would have been great on a wet or cool day. Staff were all friendly and cheerful - excellent service. Great location and venue. Highly recommended .
