Hidden among the bright green rice fields and banana trees, Yeh Pulu Temple features a collection of 14th-century carvings on a stone wall. First discovered in the 1920s, the site was then extensively excavated in 1929. Don a traditional (and required) sarong, and walk along the fascinating wall with a gentle waterfall to one side. Follow the lush gardens and Hindu sculptures down the path as you interpret stories of ancient life in Bali. Visit the ritual holy bathing pools and the spirit water fountains to learn more about the deep connection between water, the rice fields, and the people.     Went before 6am for sunrise over the rice fields. Nobody was there so we didn't pay anything for the entrance and enjoyed nice time exploring the temple. The temple is quite different to other ones you'll see in Bali. The walks at the end of the temple weren't very well maintained so we couldn't walk far.
