Watch a large toy train pass through Batasia Loop, a spiral track meant to lower the gradient of ascent. This track uses tunnels to spiral over itself before eventually cresting a hilltop decorated with a garden. Explore the hilltop, which offers one of the best views of the town and the Himalayas. Follow the track on foot and complete the loop yourself, or just stick to the gardens and enjoy the views from one of the benches. Also, look for the war memorial in the center of the loop, built in 1995 to commemorate Gorkha soldiers who died in past wars.     A very beautiful place to visit. It is a memorial to Gorkha soldiers of Indian army who sacrificed their lives for our country. It is also a spiral railway track created ti lower the gradient of ascent of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The place is very well decorated with varied species of flowers.
