Promenade Gardens, Georgetown

3.8
#2 of 10 in Parks in Guyana
Garden · Nature / Park
Used as a public execution area during the 19th century, Promenade Gardens today has a very different function. Take a peaceful stroll through this urban green space, where you can relax, read, and enjoy the surrounding flowers and trees. Paths wind past tall trees, lush plants, and colorful blooms. Look for the Mahatma Gandhi monument, as well as a bandstand--the oldest of three in the city. • The garden itself is beautiful overall but the amount of homeless people and junkies present overshadow its beauty to the point where you do not want to stay there for too long.
  • This is such a wonderful place to relax. It can be you only or with family members. In this place the nature is beautiful and you can learn the scientific name for a few plant. I really love this place πŸŒΈπŸ’―πŸ˜
