  This is a project of painting the houses in Santa Catarina Palopó with traditional Mayan textile patterns, each with different meanings and blessings. Supported by several NGOs, eco paints were produced exclusively for the project. With the help of volunteers around the world and the local painters, this village is now transforming into a destination for cultural tourism which is also expected to improve the living condition of the locals. They are reason why this village has become so colourful and happier than ever.
