A charming reminder of the colonial era, Casa Popenoe was built in the 17th century. After a devastating earthquake in 1773, the building remained desolate and largely forgotten for decades. Restored in the 1930s, the house now operates as a small museum of various colonial artifacts. A window into a bygone era, the interior is filled with furniture and personal items of the home's past owners.
