DB Museum (German Railway Museum)
DB Museum (German Railway Museum) explores the history of the railway and its significance to Germany--and offers an up-close look at the oldest surviving steam train in Germany and the royal carriage of Bavarian King Ludwig II. Learn about the construction of the German railway; the living conditions of those who worked on it; and how developments in technology, business, and politics have shaped the rail industry. Don't miss the Railroad in Miniature exhibit, where you can observe how railways operate on more than 500 m (1,640 ft) of track and 30 different detailed trains. Most of the information is written in German, so pick up an English audio guide if you can't read the local language. Our Nuremberg vacation planning website makes visiting DB Museum (German Railway Museum) and other Nuremberg attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

If you like trains a little, you'll probably like them alot after visiting this museum. Actual trains, excellent models of others and lots of demonstrations including cutaway steam engines. I could have slowed down to spend a half a day there but I think you can see most of it in a few hours depending how fast you move. Three is a very large room for kids to play and learn about trains at the same time. They also have an old train car off totally. All kinds of thrones 😉

This museum is really awesome. It was the most impressive transport museum I have been. 6 Euros is really cheap for its exhibition! But if you want to see everything, arrive by 10 am, have a big breakfast before, cause I took 5h there (and even didn't see everything) and I could stay. And please, RESPECT the signs of not touching things!
