Explore the deep caverns and rushing waters of one of Germany's most notable natural wonders at Partnachklamm. The historic gorge--more than 80 m (262 feet) tall--features a dramatic combination of waterfalls, rapids, and deep-water basins. You can journey through the 702 m (2303 ft) of dark caverns and rushing water to enjoy the unspoiled natural beauty of the gorge. Take a horse-drawn carriage ride from the parking lot to the entrance as a fun alternative to walking. Be sure to wear a rain jacket and sturdy shoes when exploring the gorge. One of the most beautiful locations I've been to in Bavaria. It's a relatively short hike with some beautiful views and a unique look into the rock formations of the area. You have a beautiful river and forest to look at as well. The hike through the gorge has some dark and mildly steep places in it but isn't too bad, especially with good shoes. If you finish the route through the gorge there are other hikes that are more challenging and steep. Parking might be tricky at busy times and on the weekends it's pretty busy. We didn't enter the first time we tried to go there. Dog friendly! Corona edit: very few people during the week, we practically had the climb to ourselves at times. Masks are required if you are near people and they have altered the pathway so people aren't generally running into each other on the way up or down.

Beautiful place. Although it is always pretty I personally find it better at the end of winter when there is still columns of ice. Bring a jacket tho.
