Amazingly beautiful palace. Very compact with outstanding gardens and scenery. One star off due to the guided tour. Ludwig picked this place due to its scenery so it would have been wonderful to see the palace without curtains covering it. With curtains up, it ruins the setting and makes the place feel small. I would love to see open view of the gardens as I walk through the place.

Ludwig was an interesting man, and this was his residential home. Its incredibly small, but absolutely lavishly beautiful. Take the tour and then see if you can get some time to yourself to explore the rest of the compound. Absolutely amazing site.
