Very moving experience in this beautiful place. We visited the cemetery after staying in Caen and on our way to Juno Beach. We stayed for 45 minutes. Handsomely located in the countryside and... more »

Really impressive cemetary, quiet on the hill between the fields. We thank those guys from Canada, they gave us back our freedom.

Beautiful and touching. Flowers and individual personal inscriptions and access to walk around and read headstones has a powerful and personal touch. Unfortunately the USA Omaha cementary is pristine and perfect with crosses aligned in unbelievable unison, but no public access, no flowers and apparently no personal inscriptions leaves one somewhat disconnected to what these men fought for.
