A strange and interesting little place with a display of some excellent dioramas recounting Minerve’s history. All this, and the owner keeps cat biscuits in the cupboard for the neighbourhood cat 😊 more »

Malheureusement c'est la dernière année que ce sympathique libraire, natif de Minerve et y habitant, vous offrira l'accès à ce beau petit musée qui retrace l'épopée cathare sous forme de tableaux-maquettes aux personnages hauts en couleur. Bien mal mis en valeur et très mal référencé (notamment par l'office du tourisme), nous sommes tombés dessus par hasard. Situé à l'arrière d'une très chouette petite librairie, ce mini musée à été crée au départ par un couple de vignerons de la région amoureux de leur histoire, et c'est un petit bijou. Le propriétaire de l'endroit est un érudit qui répondra à toutes vos questions et ne s'arrête plus quand il s'agit de défendre le patrimoine de sa région et la véritable histoire des cathares. La visite vous coûtera 3,50€ par adulte et est gratuite pour les moins de 14 ans.

Unfortunately this is the last year that this friendly bookseller, native of Minerva and resident, will offer you access to this beautiful little museum that retraces the Cathar epic in the form of paintings-maquettes with colorful characters. Very poorly highlighted and very poorly referenced (especially by the tourist office), we came across it by chance. Located at the back of a very nice little bookstore, this mini museum was originally created by a couple of winemakers from the region in love with their history, and it's a gem. The owner of the place is a scholar who will answer all your questions and does not stop when it comes to defending the heritage of his region and the true history of the Cathars. The tour will cost you 3.50 euros per adult and is free for under 14s.
