So beautiful but be very careful, choice your time before going because access is narrow by car.Must done at low season only. It's one day perfect trip for picnic and easy walk around lake to the... more »

Cirque accessible depuis le barrage des Gloriettes. Son accès y est plutôt facile et peut-être fait en famille mais les chiens n'y sont pas admis car on se trouve dans le Parc National des Pyrénées. Sur place, décor montagnard typique, cascades, rivières, troupeaux de vaches et moutons ainsi que des marmottes et même des isards. Il est préferable de s'y rendre tôt le matin car le parking du barrage y est très petit.

Circus accessible from the Gloriettes Dam. Its access is rather easy and can be done with family but dogs are not allowed because it is in the National Park of the Pyrenees. On site, typical mountain setting, waterfalls, rivers, herds of cows and sheep as well as marmots and even isards. It is best to get there early in the morning because the parking lot of the dam is very small.

Il y a des jours sans.... et des jours avec... les isards, neuf en tout sur une randonnées de 2 heures qui nous emmène jusqu'au bout du cirque. Balade super sympa jusqu'à la cabane, avec une vue superbe sur le cirque, le verrou glaciaire, les marmottes et les estives qui battent leur plein. Un peu moins spectaculaire quand on va jusqu'au fond du cirque, mais c'est là que sont parfois les isards. Pour nous ils étaient au-dessus de la cabane.

There are days without.... and days with... the isards, nine in all on a 2-hour hike that takes us to the end of the circus. Super nice walk to the hut, with a superb view of the circus, the ice lock, the marmots and the summers that are in full swing. A little less spectacular when you go to the bottom of the circus, but that's where the isards are sometimes. For us they were above the hut.
