    Beautiful serene Lac Cornu in Charmonix France is a glacial fed Alpine lake in the French Alps region of Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes. As beautiful as Lac Blanc with many Swiss peaks as a backdrop.  more »

    Odd that there are only so few reviews on this place. Take the cable car from Chamonix to Planpraz (2000 m). Hike of 4H fairly sustained up to the Lake Cornu (2276 m) passing by an edge at 2400 m. so beautiful with the chain of Aravis on the horizon. When you go back down it is the turn of Mont Blanc to face you. Grand.
