This is one of the most historic sites in town and will be part of your visit. The cathedral is full of history. You will need a guide or some printed information to enrich your experience. more »

Interesting if not a bit strange. Centuries old frescoes, contemporary stained glass windows, a bucket containing drawing pins and hammer to hammer them into a post! Couldn't work this one out. A circle of white ribbons of material suspended high above the Choir and tied to pillars at ground level. In the center of the Choir was an airport type scanner to walk through and a glass dome with something inside. I later discovered, good old Google, it was the Headdress apparently worn by Christ in the tomb. It is certainly worth a visit but reading up before your visit will enhance the experience.

Very unusual cathedral with two huge domes. Beautiful inside. Lots of renovations in progress inside and out when I visited. The domes are amazing, one is ornately decorated. The other is bare ...looks like it's being restored. There is a beautiful ajoining cloister which gives a lovely views of the cathedral too. On Saturday mornings, there is a Farmer's market in the square beside the cathedral
