Cathedrale Notre-Dame d'Amiens or Cathedral of Our Lady of Amiens is a Roman Catholic cathedral built between 1220 and 1270 and is the seat to the Bishop of Amiens. The cathedral is the tallest complete cathedral in France with a stone-vaulted ceiling height of 42.30 meters (138.8 ft). It also has the greatest interior volume of any French cathedral, estimated at 200,000 cubic meters (260,000 cu yd). Look for early 13th century Gothic sculpture in the west façade and the south transept portal. You are invited to go inside to see the impressive collection of polychrome sculptures.
