Enter picturesque wilderness at Salto de Jimenoa, a series of four waterfalls connected via numerous trails and ravines. The largest and most popular of the waterfalls is "Salto Jimenoa Uno" a 60 m (196 ft) fall pouring down from a hidden pool, thundering into the waters below. It was this fall that featured in the 1993 film Jurassic Park. The trail to the falls is challenging, with steep inclines and narrow hanging bridges suspended over the river's rapids, so you'll need appropriate footwear and plenty of water. But the view you're greeted with once you meet your destination makes it well worth the climb. Take a dip in the swimming hole to cool off, although be aware of strong swirling currents. I have been to the falls many times in the past and they are incredible - really so much fun to hike to and then swim. But, these falls have been closed for over a year. The normal entrance is locked.... more »

It's almost dry and the bridges are broken. But in the other side you have a trail with like 850mts with some bbq stations, natural pools and a pine plantation at the end. more »
