  • Graceful ships in a glorious setting. ⚓ Easy to get to by car. Not very crowded on a Tuesday morning. Many interactive displays for children AND adults. Working boat building on site. Probably 50 recreations in the water and out. About $10 per person. Interpretive signage could be better.
  • Smallish museum that gives you a close look at the famed Viking boats and learn about the Vikings. You can see partially reconstructed boats from centuries ago as well as new ones built based on the designs of these boats. You are also able to take rides in the replicas although we did not have time to do so. There are also plenty of hands on activities that could keep young children engaged for a while. Allow about 1-2 hours, longer if you plan to engage in hands on activities and go on rides. There is a cafe with some vegetarian options.
