Drive through the large enclosures of Givskud Zoo alongside Asian elephants, white rhinos, gorillas, bongos, and lions. The zoo and safari park opened in 1969 as "the lion park." Today, the site is home to more than 600 animals representing 50 species. You can also visit the biggest dinosaur exhibit in Denmark. The dinosaur park exhibits more than 50 life-size dinosaurs--from the largest herbivore of all, to one of the most deadly carnivores, Tyrannosaurus rex. The park has a special Ice Age exhibit where you can meet the giant mammoths and other ice age animals, learn more about the cold past, and enjoy fun activities for the entire family. Amenities include several restaurants and playgrounds. You can also bring your own lunch and eat in the park. Amazing place to visit with children of all ages (adults included). Bring rain boots and gear as it can be muddy. This has parts where you get out of the car and walk, and times when you have to... more »

Seeing animals close by. Taking a stroll in the forest. Learning new things about the wildlife. The kid enjoying ice-cream, while riding in a wooden cart, along the dinosaur trail. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Awww man awesome Zoo experience. To be able to experience, allowing to feed the rhinos, giraffe's to get this close to these animals!! Earlier start than the time off Zoo opening times, pay slightly more to be able to be shown around at feeding time and experience touching these beautiful animals, I'd definitely recommend and given the chance would do this again!! Awesome!!
