Medical Museion (Danish: Medicinsk Museion) is a museum and research unit in Copenhagen, Denmark, dedicated to the history of health and disease in a cultural perspective. Part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at University of Copenhagen, its principal area of interest is the recent history of the material and iconographic culture of biomedicine. It is based in a listed building from 1787 on Bredgade in Frederiksstaden.

    This is a very good medical museum with preserved body parts so this is not a museum for people that are squeamish. The deformaties have taught medical students for years and the old auditorium is...  more »

    Quite diverse and interesting exhibition, some of which is interactive. Registrar was helpful and pleasant. Definitely could recommend to visit even if you cannot stomach exhibits from/of human bodies or parts of them, as there are artistic and historic installations as well, and they make up at least half of the museum.

    Maybe not for those disturbed by macabre, but I LOVED this museum. I especially loved the “Mind the Gut” exhibit.
