National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror
At National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror, enter the secret hideout of seven paratroopers who carried out Operation Anthropoid, attack on the high-ranking Nazi officer Reinhard Heydrich. See the bullet marks and shrapnel scars on the walls of an underground crypt, a stern reminder that this was an actual battle site from World War II. For the whole story on the ferocious retaliation that followed the killing of "the Butcher of Prague," watch the video that accompanies the exhibit. This was the place I most wanted to see on my visit to Prague. I had read about Operation Anthropoid and seen the Anthropoid movie and was not disappointed. It's an amazing story of courage and... more »

Some will be surprised some will be shocked however; this museum is a very powerful reminder of mans inhumanity to man, and It was; John Stuart Mill, who said in 1867: “Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.” I only hope that if I were called upon to act for right against wrong I would have the strength to do as the Church Elders and Czech underground were called to do. If you care about anything this is a must see stop in Prague. If you don’t know the story you soon will. Free entry and free hand out material, all excuses to visit gone. I’m not saying you will ‘ enjoy’ however you will be forever better informed. And ...:- to the toilets, good clean well maintained

Nice place with great history. Worth visiting and it will only take about 30mins to an hour of your time throughout the entire museum. Admissions are free but the toilet would need a very long queue! Who am I to bargain, it's already free.
