  This had to be my most favorite part of my trip to Cuba. The fact that I have never rode a horse did not matter. The fish that they served at the hut was the best food that we had in the whole country. The sun was powerful and we wished that we had brought hats and a change of cloth for the ride back. It would also have been nice to have brought some trunks for the crystal water.

  Our tour consisted of: part 1: visit to a tobacco hut and live demonstration of cigar manufacturing 2. part: horse-riding tour through the Valley with several stations: caves tour visit of a coffee farm (with toilets and bar)-kurzer walk to the lookout tower () again, you can drink cocktails) chilling in the Lake instead to ride you can walk with just myself, like the guides.

  We booked a 5h tour with Alexis. We had a lot of fun and the tour was very rich in variety. Alexis was a great guide who told us a lot of information about Cuba and nature. The horses a very tall and strong but very friendly and calm. I think this is to mention because there are a lot of tours with very weak and “hungry” horses around in Cuba. I definitely recommend riding vinales.
