Costa Rica Expeditions, San Jose

Costa Rica Expeditions set up my stay in San Jose and a visit to a cloud forest reserve northwest of San Jose. The drivers and guides were exceptional for my 3.5 day visit. They didn't force me any certain direction, but instead were responsive to my likes and interests. Sometimes we went to places that were out of the way and not touristy, like restaurants local favor, or seeing behind the scenes on how woodworking is done. There was a good mix of upscale/luxury activities and good value. It's December as I write this, and I plan to go back in March, because I trust them to plan a longer journey and there is more to see.

We went through Costa Rica Expeditions for our May 2017 trip to Costa Rica. We are a family of 5 (three older boys plus Mom & Dad). Our trip was incredible. I worked with Gustavo on our plans as we went to four different locations in the country. Very impressed with all the tours we had set up, our transportation and our hotels. Everything was exactly as our itinerary was set up (ex. when they said our tour was picking us up at 7:00 am at the hotel, that is exactly what time they were there). We did not have a single worry. Even minor changes that happened (ex. they changed our tour to the Paos volcano as the gov't closed it due to activity), Gustavo gave us options and worked with us on our new plan. I can't say enough good things about this company and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.
