  • Be sure to wear sunscreen! The boatride, snorkeling, and baby animals make for a great day. We were disappointed we couldnt take photos but understand why. Great people doing important work!  more »
  • Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the sanctuary and its residents. I have worked as an animal care technician for many years and it is clear how much hard work and heart....  more »
  • I was so impressed with the Sanctuary's commitment to rescue, rehab and release animals whenever possible and care for them all their lives, if they cannot be released. I met the founder, Carol Patrick, in Borneo, and I decided to visit. Her phone rang frequently--a hotel found a baby sloth on the ground, an owl was it by a car, somebody purchased a baby monkey and doesn't want it after 2 months, a mother monkey was killed and there's a tiny infant, a starving baby parrot was found in a bush--and on and on. I visited two more times, donated, offered to help, began writing for the Sanctuary. Carol and her small staff work 24/7. She lives with no hot water, no electricity (a part time generator), no roads, pretty much no people--and she saves animal lives, protecting the rainforest and more. Osa Wildlife Sanctuary Rocks.
  • This is s place of love. Animals r treasured gifts at Osa. A place where the fauna and the flora r respected. I keep going back because the work there is difficult but very rewarding. I see Sanctarios all over NA. And I am an animal professional handler, clinician and Wildlife Rehabilitator. I am taken back by the dedication of the staff. They work for one thing - animal welfare.
