Animal lovers and eco-tourists never want to leave Curu National Wildlife Refuge, which runs a sustainable development program to preserve the area's natural habitat. The reserve brims with wildlife, so while exploring the tropical jungle, look out for big cats, monkeys, turtles, raccoons, and some of 232 species of birds. You can choose from hiking trails, horseback riding tours, a restaurant, a souvenir shop and cabin rentals.
