One of the major landmarks of Thimphu. This is a gigantic statue of Lord Buddha in sitting position located on the top of a hill. The height of this statue is 54 metres, the construction of which started in 2006 and completed in 2015. At the base of the statue there is a meditation hall and inside the hall there are 1,25,000 statues of miniature buddhas. This spot attracts locals as well as tourists.
