A haunting monument to the (often overlooked) French soldiers who fought and died in Belgium. Surrounded by dark woods, the statue of "Victory" by sculptor Adolphe Masselot oversees a large French Ossuary further down the hill. Masselot invites the visitor to ask themselves the question "what is the price of victory?". Worth a visit even though the cobbles up Kemmelberg burst a tyre!
