Memorial Waterloo 1815
Witness the site of Napoleon Bonaparte's defeat at Memorial Waterloo 1815, which commemorates one of the world's most famous battles. In the center is the Lion Mount, where a proud lion sculpture watches over the hill's peak. Walk up to the top for a view of the entire battlefield. Enter the museum, where you'll find a panorama of the battle representing the soldiers from all sides facing off across the open space. Video presentations give you an overview of the history behind the Napoleonic Wars. Purchase your tickets on arrival and wear comfortable walking shoes for the walk up the hill. I liked this place very much. Lots of stairs up but wonderful view - one can just imagine how was for those soldiers in 1815. Museum is very interesting and makes you go back in those times. There is a restaurant nearby or you can just buy a sandwich and enjoy the feeling. The parking space is very close and free. Ticket for a museum with audio guide costs acceptable 12 euro.

An interesting place with a great historic meaning. They decorated it nicely, the staff could be a bit friendlier but in total it is worth the visit. I suggest taking out two hours of your schedule to be able to watch the 3D movie (goggles included ofc), visiting the elevated monument, checking the souvenir shop and having a nice relaxed drink at the included cafe.
