Sharing the story of immigrants and crew, Red Star Line Museum reveals that the Red Star passenger boats were more than just a line of pleasure ships. The museum documents the rise of the ocean liner and the Red Star company, beginning with its founder Clement Griscom. However, the focus is on the many people that left Antwerp's port headed for New York City. Before the museum opened its doors, a team of researchers tracked the families of almost two million passengers and collected their stories, all of which are showcased in the exhibits. On your visit you'll journey with the immigrants escaping the Nazi occupation of Warsaw, as well as get a taste of traveling in style with famous passengers like Albert Einstein. Only 90 people are allowed into the exhibits every 30 minutes, so there may be a wait on your arrival. Advanced reservations are recommended. Really good museum, a lot to look at and read. The exhibition is done very well and even after 2 hours here you don't get bored. It gets quite touching at times so have a tissue ready. Highly recommended
