Squeaky Beach takes its name from the sound it makes when you walk across its rounded quartz grains. A fine landscape accompanies the unusual soundscape--white sand meets turquoise water, and granite headlands sit on the horizon. At the northern end of the beach, wander among granite boulders that form a labyrinth.

    Two people drowned here yesterday on Christmas Day. It’s a national park, and there are no surf life savers. If you can’t swim, DO NOT GO SWIMMING HERE ;-(  more »
