Some stores open Wednesday to Sunday. Old Petrie Town is a truly unique location. With an array of specialty shops all housed in historic buildings, there is so much to see and enjoy. Sundays are abuzz with people looking for a bargain at the markets, or having a leisurely breakfast at the Hotel's café, wood fired bakery, emporium diner and the Food hall. Go back in time and visit a Steam museum, Fire Museum, or even the working foundry, and blacksmiths. Why would you even consider going anywhere else....???

Old town with nice museum to see I thought there would be a big market, but only a few stalls, some choice of food There are other better markets in the area, not really recommended more »

Multiple businesses occupy heritage buildings through out Old Petrie Town. Fun to explore on a weekday; however the markets on Sundays bring the crowds. Options for food, clothing and accessorises... more »

Good for young and old alike to walk through the past and realise, recollect and really imagine what life was like 100 + years ago. Good work of reconstructing the past as people lived like back then. Aren't we grateful to be living today with so many modern amenities and practicalities! Imagine never tasting yummy ice cream in all different flavours! Well done, well worth a visit.

AWESOME PLACE. GREAT ATMOSPHERE.... Very kid, friendly great for families, or singles too! Yesteryear reborn, the way life was but shown in the 21st century to locals and visitors. Loads of parking for anything and everything. A fantastic day out with great food and drinks. Recommend bringing a camera! I lived in the area for 40yrs, but only found it recently... yet it has been there for a long time. I wish I could of got there sooner!!!!! Rate it at 10, out of 10.
