A sprawling, manicured estate centered on a large, architecturally ornate and stately home, Werribee River Park offers you a charming view into Australia’s colonial past. Lush gardens, an orchard, as well as an equestrian center and zoo cluster around the Italianate Werribee Mansion, giving the estate a grand, idyllic atmosphere. Construction of the estate began in the mid-1870s, and the Victoria State government in 1973 subsequently purchased it.
