The world's third largest seafood market, Sydney Fish Market incorporates a working fishing port, a wholesale fish market, a fresh seafood retail market, a sushi bar, gift shop, a fruit and vegetable market, a beverage outlet, indoor seating, and an outdoor promenade. There's so much to do and see here that most tourists opt to join an official tour. Contact the market's management ahead of time to organize a behind-the-scenes tour of the popular wholesale seafood auction. You can also drop by on a rainy day for a meal of fresh sushi and sashimi, for which the market is renowned across Australia. Keep in mind that the sushi bar gets extremely busy during lunchtime, so it's best to visit earlier in the morning to avoid crowds and take advantage of indoor seating. Always a great place to have lunch with your loved ones. Be sure to get there early for great food and also indoor seats! The birds outside can be a bit aggressive when they see you with fresh chips. Parking is good but it can also be a bit crowded at times. There's a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. Great view if you sit outside on the deck.

A busy and bustling place to visit. Lots of sea food sellers and shops though all see to have the same stuff. We saw crates of iced fish, so not sure if the stuff served is fresh fish. Also try the cliff walk ( Google) about 10 minutes which gives a stunning view of part of the city.
