Sea Life Sydney Aquarium provides an outstanding venue for you to learn about Australia's marine ecosystems and the creatures inhabiting them. The aquarium holds more than 650 species and 6,000 individual fish coming from various Australian waters. At the Great Barrier Reef Oceanarium, peer through acrylic-glass tunnels to see sharks and colorful tropical fish swimming through coral reefs. In the Open Ocean Oceanarium, gaze at sharks over 3 m (10 ft) long and weighing up to 300 kg (660 lb). River exhibits introduce you to the marine life, including crocodiles, inhabiting Australia's waterways, and you can watch penguins in the Southern Ocean exhibit area. Incredible place to visit. Prime location with a reasonable entry fee, very welcoming and helpful staff. The aquarium seemed never-ending with all the things to see and do, with a large amount of very interesting attractions. Very good photo opportunities and loads of fun for all ages. Penguin boat ride was a very nice touch.

Going to a place like this specially on a weekend you would consider it to be quite hectic, and indeed it was. Full of children and lots of noise, but overall the experience wasn’t marred too much by this. I would say that the manatee was the highlight, as well as the penguins. The way this place presents its animals and fish is quite amazing. I recommend going when it’s not too busy, say during the week day that is not on a school holiday.
