Two Birds Brewing was hatched in 2011 by Jayne Lewis and Danielle Allen and is Australia's first female owned and operated brewing company. With Jayne at the helm of the brewing, and with four core beers under their wings, the Two Birds opened "The Nest" a Brewery and Tasting Room in June 2014 to expand on their range of craft beers.

Two Birds beers are available across Australia in bottleshops, bars, restaurants and pubs, on tap and by the bottle.

I was fortunate enough to win a case of the new IPA and two of the apple cider and man what a treat. The IPA is beautifully fruity while still giving you the malt and hops you want/expect from an IPA. It is definitely one that will go down as easily by a fire in Winter as at the beach in Summer. For me it may even mean a contender for my favourite Summer beer of choice Taco. The Apple Cider I passed on the generous "shout" from Two Birds and loaded them in the car to take to my sisters 40th in Adelaide. I'm not normally a cider fan but I will say this totally unpretentious cider is so easy to drink even I enjoyed it. It was light, uncomplicated, crisp but not overtly sweet and refreshing which is hard to find in a cider. Well done on the two new releases and thank you so much for shouting this round for me and my mate. We'll definitely be up in Spotswood for a paddle soon!

So many good beers that aren't around the usual good craft bottle shops. Food is delicious too, and a great industrial style bar/restaurant. Absolutely the perfect place to wait for boarding the Spirit of Tasmania.
