As you arrive in the Town of 1770 look to your left and you will see two big pink boats with wheels, behold the LARC's!

We provide a truly unique amphibian adventure, travelling the coastlines of Eurimbula National Park and the waterways of Bustard Bay to the isolated Bustard Head Lighthouse, the first lighthouse to be built in Queensland.

We invite you to join our friendly tour guides aboard the pink amphibious LARC's for an amazing adventure.

1770 Environmental Tours operates two Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo vessels with a capacity of 32 passengers each. These fascinating vessels, equally at home on land or sea were originally built for military use, predominantly for transporting troops and equipment in and around coastal areas.

  • The all day Paradise Tour was magical! Full of beautiful scenery, driving from sand bar to sand bar, through the waters, including a very comprehensive history of the area from our tour guide Sammy. Bird watching was also included, we saw multiple stingrays throughout the day, the Bustard Head Lighthouse tour was wonderful and informative. After a sumptuous lunch in a natural bush setting it was off to dune surfing, a real blast! All in all a great tour, thank you to Sammy and Macka for a great day out!
  • We did the one hour tour and it was well worth it. The presenter was knowledgeable and fun. If we come back we will definitely consider doing a longer trip. It is an experience you won't regret.
