Horsetail Falls is a seasonal waterfall near Queenstown, Tasmania. The falls cascades over 50 metres down a steep cliff face, and can be seen from the road. A boardwalk giving closer access was opened in 2017.

  • It's all a matter of chance really during the dryer seasons but we managed to visit just after rain had fallen and the falls were in full flight. Would be stunning during the winter and the new path....  more »

  • I think the falls would be beautiful if there were water flowing. The trail leading there is well built. No shade though on a hot day.
  • Falls are good when its raining or just after with good flow. After a dry spell not much to see.
