Once you're 'done' exploring the market, adjacent Port Douglas village beckons with a plethora of fine restaurants and boutique shopping. And, if that's all a bit much for a Sunday arvo ... keep on walking a short distance and laze about on 4 mile Beach until the sun goes down.
The market runs every Sunday right through the year. Most stalls are ready to trade by about 7:30 AM and operate until around mid-afternoon. Entrance is free. See you at the market ...

Not as many stalls as we'd expected. Limited offering of handicrafts and food. Something to tick off your "things to do on holidays" list, but wouldn't make this the reason to be in Port Douglas. more »
