Obviously a well loved small church in beautiful grounds. Well cared for with a touching history. The story of the penitentiary close by was quite riveting. There is much to see all around this small.... more »
Construction of St David's Anglican Church, located practically across the road from the ruins of, and as a replacement for, the convict church at Port Arthur, commenced in May 1927. Up until that time Port Arthur and the surrounding district had been without a Church of England. St Davids Anglican Church is now an established part of the local Anglican parish.
