• By Realising Every Glitch

  Hellyer Gorge is a nice offbeat drive away from the Cradle Mountain hype and tourist flow. Free camping at the gorge bottom. One on the right hand side of the road and one off to the left. Even though toiletries are on the right hand side of the road choose the other side. Tall trees and ferns gently litter the campsite and offer far more shading than the toiletries camp side. Gorge itself is good for a swim with cooler temperatures.
